Machine polishing or paint correction can be added to this package.
We have a couple of packages available for this type of service. All packages remove light to medium scratches and swirls. All packages include exterior washed including wheels, tyres and arches, chemical and mechanical paint decontamination removal on paintwork, tar removal.
Stage 1 – Machine polishing, as we like to call it, is aimed at making the paint shine more than chasing unwanted scratches. We aim to remove light scratches, and lightly oxidised paint, leaving a nice uniform shiney finish. Paint sealant or wax is applied to protect the finish.
Stage 2 – Single stage paint correction. Designed to use 1 pad and 1 polish/compound to remove 70-80% of paint defects, while leaving behind an even glossy finish with no machine polishing marks. Paint sealant or wax is applied to protect the finish.
Stage 3 – Multiple stage paint correction. Can be 2 or more polish stages, using multiple pads, polishes/compounds, machines etc to remove as many defects as safely as possible, as there is only so much paint on a car to begin with. Newer cars are coming out with less and less paint from the factory, so not all defects are able to be removed in some cases. Paint sealant or wax is applied to protect the finish.
Not for factory finished paints. Any person wanting this service must have had the car repainted with extra coats of paint to be able to complete this package.
This includes sanding the paint finish down to level, reduce or remove the ‘orange peel’ texture in the paint finish which is left from painting a car. How flat the finish is depends on how you want it to look. Having straight panel work in the first place is best as any imperfections in the panel work will be more noticeable after this service. Generally there is between 2-4 stages of sanding using different grades of abrasives to achieve the required finish, then multiple stages of polishing to remove any sanding marks. All paints must be fully cured before this is attempted as damage may occur if the paint is too soft.
The paint can be finished in either a sealant, wax or ceramic or Graphene coating.
Most ceramic and Graphene coatings last around the 5yr mark, with some 3yrs, most 5yrs. We’ve found anything over 5yrs, you would probably want to re paint correct the paintwork and re apply a fresh coating as ALL coating can still be scratched or marked. No coating will stop this.
With our 3 and 5yr coatings, the coating isn’t just on your car for the term, the self cleaning abilities, water behaviour and feeling of having a coated car is there for that time as well. We advise on giving the coating a decontamination wash yearly to remove any build up on the surface, along with regular washes every 2-4 weeks maximum.
All ceramic and Graphene coatings we use are designed to help keep your car cleaner for longer, look fantastic, minimise scratches, protect against contamination, bird droppings, water marks, some are semi self healing (if they get lightly scratches some smooth themselves over), and making cleaning you car enjoyable and not feel like a chore.
While ceramic coatings are great, we’ve found Graphene coatings to be next level. It cures harder, has a more slick feeling, higher protection against scratches, swirls, contamination, bird droppings, and even less chance of water marks staining the finish.
All coating packages receive a Single stage paint correction, which not only removes the majority of paint defects in newer cars, if not all, but thoroughly cleans the paint, while leaving behind an even glossy finish shinier then new, with no machine polishing marks. The paint is then prepared for the ceramic or Graphene coating to be applied.
We have access to a few brands of coatings, but our main products are from the Kamikaze Collection, Miyabi and Zipang. Along with Angelwax Solaris, Genesis and Nebula Graphene coatings.
